Alexis and Chris are two of the sweetest, most easy-going people I have ever met! When I first spoke with Alexis about her wedding floral vision, she mentioned wanting muted tones and an organic/romantic vibe. Since she was so open to the floral selection, it really gave me a huge opportunity to blow her away with the designs!! I pulled some very unique and special items for her, including gardenia blooms still on the stem, Dutch westminster abbey roses, and hops garland. It was very exciting to be able to use these materials because they are very limited to specific times of the year, and they fit in perfectly with her designs!
The wedding took place at one of my favorite and most-visited venues, The Addison Grove. As weather is in Texas, it was super unpredictable! All day during set-up, the sun was peeking through and the temperature was just right. About thirty minutes before the ceremony was to begin, there was a heavy downpour of rain. Thank goodness, it stopped just in time for the ceremony chairs to be dried off and take place in the originally planned location! The rain did make for some really fun photos too!
I really wanted to create luxurious bouquets for Alexis and her Bridal Party, something that would pop off of the gowns in photos and give her that classic and romantic garden-inspired look. I kept the bouquets more floral-heavy with just a few pops of foliage. Gorgeous!
I created simple boutonnieres for the Groom and Groomsmen, full of texture and finished off with a mauve chiffon ribbon. They complimented the bouquets perfectly!
The ceremony took place under the trees, where I created an organic and whimsical design on site. See the hops vine peeking through? So fun!
In the reception space, we kept things clean and simple. Using two different styles of centerpieces for guest tables, one more floral heavy and one more candle heavy – was a great combination. We used our clear glass pedestals with floating candles, chalky white compotes, and votive candles from our rental collection.
This day couldn’t have been any more beautiful!! We had a great vendor team, and Angela captured all of these moments so perfectly! Don’t you love her style of photography? Alexis and Chris – thank you so much for asking me to take care of your wedding floral designs! Wishing you two all the best! <3
