I remember one of my first meetings with Kristin and her Mom. It was clear to me that Kristin shared the same love of flowers as me, which was really exciting! She understood that flowers have the capability to completely transform the mood and environment, appreciated the beauty in them, and wanted me to use them to bring her wedding to life. Her Mom was so sweet, and she just wanted to make sure that her daughter was well taken care of on her wedding day. I’m not just here to create beautiful designs for my clients, I’m here to relieve some of that stress and pressure that comes with the design aspect. So, don’t be afraid to lean on me a little bit! 🙂
Kristin and Kevin’s wedding took place in September at The Addison Grove. She wanted her floral designs to incorporate shades of burgundy, with minimal pops of blush, and lots of deep green foliage. I pulled in a really fun floral selection for her, including zinnias, dahlias, bay laurel, hanging amaranthus, southern smilax, garden roses, and so much more. These colors were the perfect contrast to her bridal party gowns – especially with that pop of emerald velvet ribbon from the bouquets!
The ceremony location was literally up in the air until we started designing. You know how Texas weather is, and it had been raining pretty heavily – so the ceremony design and location changed a few times. Thankfully, Kristin was very open minded, and she allowed us to nix the original design plan and create something even more breathtaking! We covered the entire front of the tree trunk – it smelled amazing, had so much depth and dimension, and it couldn’t have been a more beautiful background for the ceremony. We also draped lush handmade garlands along the back row of chairs – this really created drama and set the tone!
I love reliving the moment when Kristin walked down the aisle – so sweet! Also, how fun is all of her signage?
The reception area was so romantic! Imagine lots of candlelight, elegant black accents, lush flowers, and the perfect ambiance. We had a mixture of designs to give the room more dimension – the result? Stunning!
Here are a few of my other fav photos from this gorgeous day!
