When I met with Kaycee and her amazing wedding planner, Jessika of 36th Street Events, at a local coffee shop – I knew within minutes that Kaycee was looking for a floral designer who she could trust to execute her vision. She wanted a classic and timeless look that would tie in smoothly with the venue – a color palette of whites and creams, with a fun accent color. For the pop of color, we went with a burnt orange/bronze/copper tone – a color that wouldn’t be distracting, but that would also incorporate well with her designs and the colors of the venue’s architecture.
The bridal party wore classic black attire – sleek, flattering, and absolutely perfect.
As the guests entered the hotel, they were escorted to the grand staircase leading to the second floor. Kaycee gave us free reign to adorn the staircase with loads of fresh blooms, candles, and trailing greenery…and the outcome was stunning! When the guests reached the top of the stairs, they were greeted by a beautifully handwritten welcome message on the mirror.
The ceremony took place in the Driskill’s Ballroom, with a beautiful wooden fireplace as a backdrop. We wanted to keep this space simple and romantic. By using candles, fresh rose petals, and draping greens – we did just that. 🙂
For the reception designs, I am always a fan of depth – meaning that I like to use a variety of styles, at different heights. This creates more visual interest for your guests to enjoy, while making your photos really pop! We used a combination of items from our rental collection, including gold metal stands, clear glass pedestals with floating candles, gold candlesticks with white taper candles, and more. I LOVED the way the pops of bronze tied in so well with the space!!
Kaycee and Daniel, I can’t thank you enough for trusting me to create your floral designs! You were truly a breeze to work with, and I had a blast creating these for you. Thank you for everything!
