Everyone, meet Ariana and Morgan. Two of the sweetest people ever. He makes her laugh, and she makes him smile. 🙂 Their wedding was one of the most joyful! The wedding took place at the gorgeous Greenhouse at Driftwood (one of my favs), in June of this year. It was definitely sunny outside, and true to Texas nature…we even had a downpour of heavy rain for about 10 minutes during set up. Thankfully, the rain blew away and left nothing but sun!
The color palette for the floral designs was bright, bold, and playful! Ariana had an overall vibe she was going for, but she gave me the creative freedom I needed to make her designs magical. I used a wide variety of blooms and greens for her, including anemones, coxcomb, sea star fern, proteas, peonies, garden roses, zinnias, feather celosia, lisianthus, thistle, veronica, and so much more.
One of the most exciting parts of this day was the debut of our Rocky Mountain Arch! Joel built this arch by hand, and I was beyond proud to use it! The bright blooms really popped against the blonde wood, making a beautiful statement in front of the greenhouse. At the end of the aisle, we added two large pots with gorgeous bougainvillea plants to mark the entrance.
Playing off of the somewhat retro vibes, all of the signage was spot on! Boarding School Collective and I teamed up, and between the dried blooms, clear acrylic, and colorful font – these signs couldn’t have been more perfect!
Ariana and her Bridesmaids were so beautiful! Ariana wore a custom made gown from Elizabeth Leese, and all of her bridesmaids wore different, but coordinating gowns. How fun is that? We wanted to make sure that Ariana was the focal point, with her bouquet pulling all of the colors together. Keeping the bridesmaid bouquets simple allowed us to do just that.
Can we just talk about these boutonnieres for a minute? Yes, boutonnieres are a small detail…but they should never be a missed opportunity to do something creative. Those textures and colors are just to die for!
The reception took place in the place on the outdoor deck, and I was totally in love with the centerpieces! I used two different vessels, our Aged White Ceramic Pots and our Ceramic Garden Urns. They were heavy and substantial enough to withstand any wind, and the neutral tones were the perfect base – allowing the flowers to really pop. I also added in freshly sliced citrus to the table to make the designs come to life!
The sweetheart table was also another gorgeous feature. We wanted to create something unique, instead of an arrangement that sits on the table. So, I created a design that looked as if it were growing up the side of the table. I know. So fun, right?!
Between the colorful blooms, and the gorgeous plants at the greenhouse…this day could not have been any sweeter!
Ariana and Morgan – thank you for trusting me with your wedding floral designs! I wish nothing but the best for you both, and it was an absolute joy to work with you both!
