After my first phone consultation with Marleigh, I had a feeling that she was going to be such a fun Bride…and I was right! 🙂 She had an idea of how she wanted her flowers to look, but she wasn’t specific with the exact types of flowers – which basically means that I was able to incorporate some AMAZING flowers and have tons of fun creating her designs!
Marleigh’s bouquet included a mixture of seasonal blooms – parrot tulips, spray roses, ranunculus, roses, scabiosa, veronica, columbine, eucalyptus, etc…but, if you ask me – the star of the show was the peach peony! This was the first time in my entire career that I have ever seen a peach peony. Pretty amazing, right?!
I kept the boutonnieres fairly simple, but also full of textures. I used thistle, ranunculus, and some fun Chilean ferns!
All of the Bridesmaids wore gowns in shades of blue. This created the perfect backdrop for the bouquets to really pop in photos!
The ceremony took place under the trees at Mercury Hall on the most perfect sunny Summer day. I created a design on the trees to frame in the space, and I am so thrilled about the end result! Putting a good amount of your floral budget towards your ceremony is something I will always encourage. This is one of the first things your guests will see, and it really does set the tone for the wedding…not to mention, it will be in your photos forever!
Can we just talk about how sweet Marleigh and Austin’s dog is? I was more than happy to create a floral collar for their cute pup!
The reception took place both indoors and outdoors. Half of the tables were set up in the indoor space, while the other half were set up on the gravel area outdoors next to the cocktail hour patio. I kept the centerpiece designs light and airy, using a combination of our ceramic compotes and gold metal bud vases…and votives, of course. 🙂
To Marleigh and Austin – thank you so much for choosing me to take care of your wedding flowers! It was so great working with you both, and I wish you nothing but happiness for the future!! <3
