I remember my first design consultation with Amanda like it was yesterday. We met at a local coffee shop, along with her Mom and best friend. After talking about all of her dreamy wedding floral designs, we ended up sitting there and talking even longer about things non wedding flower related. I knew from that moment that this was going to be a wedding to remember!!
First things first, let’s talk about her wedding gown. This was not just any wedding gown. This was a custom-made design, even down to the fabric! Look closely, and you will see that her skirt has pale pink print on it. The words on the print are from a love letter that Tyler (Amanda’s husband to be) wrote her. How amazing and sweet is that?! Also…did you see those shoes? <3
I wanted Amanda’s floral designs to be full of rich and beautiful textures. Some of the blooms included are ranunculus, anemones, garden roses, spray roses, veronica, and dahlias – just to name a few. We also did something fun for her sister/flowergirl/ringbearer in lieu of a bouquet. She carried one of our geometric terrariums with the rings, while wearing a beautiful floral crown.
Instead of a traditional boutonniere with the stems showing, I created a design that would have hidden stems…pretty neat! And who doesn’t love a succulent?
I had so much fun creating Amanda and Tyler’s ceremony design!! Suspended from the beams above, this floral design was dripping with floral and greens, and our vintage edison bulb lights added that extra special touch. I loved how well the design matched the vintage rug too!
We decided to keep the guest table designs fairly simple, with just a few floral centerpieces and pops of our geometric terrariums and loose greenery. It was clean and simple, and perfect.
The sweetheart table featured a lush garland with pops of floral throughout, and candles of course!
Have I mentioned how much I love this venue? It’s vintage/modern/industrial vibes are so fun to design around! Those front doors though…
It was such a joy to be a part of Amanda and Tyler’s wedding day. There are so many amazing photos of them, it’s too hard to narrow it down…so, enjoy! 🙂
I wish you two nothing but the best!! Thank you again for asking me to take care of your wedding flowers!! <3 To read Amanda’s testimonial, click here.
