The majority of our clients ask for designs that are loose, organic, and wild. Every now and then, we will receive requests for a very lush and classic look – which we love to create too!! Jordan wanted designs that were romantic, elegant, and impactful – using shades of cream, blush, and burgundy. I was more than happy to bring her vision to life!
Before we get too far along, I want to tell you a story about this week. This wedding took place the week after Hurricane Harvey hit, which caused massive flooding in Houston. Houston is where we source our flowers, and they receive shipments from growers all over the world – which is why we can use such unique and specialty blooms. You can imagine how worried I was that I wasn’t even going to be able to get Jordan’s flowers due to the flood! Because I have such an amazing supplier who takes care of me, we were able to use her connections in Miami and have all of Jordan’s flowers flown in directly to the Austin airport from Florida . This was such a blessing, and I am SO grateful that we were able to provide her with her dream wedding flowers, despite the chaos that occurred that week (which she didn’t know about until after the wedding, of course). 🙂 Now, let’s talk about these designs!
For Jordan’s Bridal bouquet and Bridesmaids bouquets, we kept the shape to a tight, round, hand-tied design. The bouquets were fluffy and beautiful!
We always bring all of the Bridal Party floral to the Bridal suite, labeled and ready to go! 🙂 By the way, Canyonwood Ridge has one of the best suites in the area!!
The Groom, Justin, and his Groomsmen wore boutonnieres that would coordinate well with the bouquets…in style, of course!
The indoor chapel space for the ceremony, with its beautiful architecture and gorgeous natural light was just perfect! We wanted to create designs that fit proportionally to the space and make a big statement…mission totally accomplished!! Our custom-made wooden pedestals made their debut, along with our large glass trumpet vases. We topped them with giant fluffy clouds of flowers – weighing in at 150 pounds each and measuring about 4′ wide to be exact.
We lined the aisle with creamy rose petals, and clusters of tall glass cylinders with floating candles. This drew the eye forward and created such a romantic vibe – perfect!
For the reception area, we wanted to create dimension by using three different styles of centerpieces, all at various heights. We opted to use all clear glass vases to keep a clean look.
By the way, can we talk about these gorgeous cakes from Sweet Treets?
We absolutely loved working with this couple and their sweet families!
Thank you for asking us to be a part of your special day, Jordan and Justin! You were an absolute pleasure to work with, and we wish you both nothing but the best!! <3
