As a wedding industry professional, I have had the opportunity to meet so many sweet people – from vendors, to new friends, to potential new clients. I remember when I first met Allison. She was the on-site manager at a venue where I was installing floral designs for a wedding, and she was so sweet and complimentary about my work! A few years later, she reached out to me to inquire about my services for her wedding…except this wasn’t just any wedding, it was a surprise!! That’s right, Allison and Raymond planned their entire wedding without any of their family members knowing that they had something up their sleeve. They sent out the invitations, giving their guests the impression that they were just attending an Engagement Party…little did they know, they were about to see Allison and Raymond get married!
With the careful and intentional planning of 36th Street Events, they were able to pull of this huge surprise for their friends and family!! How fun is that?!
The wedding took place at the gorgeous One Eleven East in downtown Hutto, TX. With the most beautiful natural light, bright light walls, and clean architectural details – we kept the floral designs fairly simple. We used bold and rich colored blooms to tie in with the Fall season, and lots of trailing greenery.
The ceremony took place in the Skylight Room, where I installed a very organic and whimsical greenery design…simple and gorgeous! The chairs from 10th Collection couldn’t have been more perfect!
One of my favorite elements from the day was Allison’s bouquet. I used an array of blooms and greenery to really create dimension and interest with different textures. Loved her color palette!
The way that the sun was streaming in through the windows at the ceremony was absolutely magical!
Seeing these two glow with joy and be so in love, and knowing that we were able to participate in such a special day for them makes my heart happy.
Even their pups got to be a part of their special day! 🙂
Allison and Raymond – thank you so much for asking us to be a part of your surprise wedding!! It was an absolute joy to work with you, and we wish you all the happiness in the world! <3
